Kirsten Strohmer joined The Henker Group as the vice president of business development in 2015, bringing with her a diverse background in sales, marketing, communications, professional voice work, and linguistics. She brings with her over 15 years of experience in client relationships and client service.  As the owner of Your Voice Marketing and the sales manager of MTS Broadcasting, LLC, she worked with businesses and organizations of all sizes to plan and manage multiple advertising schedules, negotiate media buys, develop media promotions, and create appropriate messaging for clients. Prior to transitioning into a career in sales and marketing, she was a language analyst for the Department of Defense.

 

Kirsten grew up on the Eastern Shore of Maryland and is highly committed to the community as she has served on a number of boards and fundraising committees in the area, including Shore Health System, Dorchester Family YMCA, the Dorchester Chamber’s German Partnership Exchange, and Baywater Animal Rescue. She is on the business sub-committee of the Maryland-Anhui, China Sister State Partnership under Maryland's Office of the Secretary of State. She received her Bachelor of Arts in East Asian Languages and Literatures from the University of Maryland, College Park and is fluent in Mandarin Chinese.

 

Adding to her many talents is her work script-editing and voicing the English language audio blog for the Swedish International Agricultural Network Initiative (SIANI) and voice acting character Detective Kate Hawk in the weekly radio program, The Hawk Chronicles.
